– MSI Radeon HD 7750 2GB DDR3Micro-Star International has revealed a device that may or may not be what the European Union sees as the appropriate type of card for its citizens.

Called R7750-PMD2GD3, it is a version of AMD’s Radeon HD 7750 with 2 GB of DDR3 instead of GDDR5.

That means that its bandwidth is lower than 72GB/s, making it qualify for the G4 category. A good thing too, because it provides an example of what video boards can offer without landing in danger of being banned from the EU.

But we digress. The video controller, powered by the 28nm Cape Verde GPU (800 MHz), runs the memory at 1.6 GHz and over a 128-bit interface.

The Custom PCB is 16.8 cm-long (6.61 inches) and the cooler covers most of it, with its black shroud, spirally-projecting aluminum fins and 70mm fan.

Micro-Star International has made it so that the newcomer can live off just the energy provided by the PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot. No price has been given though.
